Where to stay?
What to do?
Sleeping in a beduin tent
When it comes to staying in Wadi Rum, there are plenty of camps with tents to choose from. Some camps offer shared bathrooms, while others have private ones, and some even have AC (though not all!). With so many options, we recommend exploring to find the one that suits you best. Most camps provide delicious traditional meals, including dinner and breakfast, making the experience even more memorable. Sleeping under the stars, watching the sunset and sunrise over the desert is truly an incredible experience. If you’re looking for recommendations, we suggest checking out The Martian Camp or Rum Planet, but there are plenty of other amazing options to choose from, so take your time and find the perfect fit!
Sleeping in a bubble
For a slightly fancier option, you can experience sleeping in a bubble camp in Wadi Rum. These transparent bubbles offer a unique way to enjoy the stars from inside (supposedly!), and they usually come with private bathrooms and AC, making for a more comfortable, yet still magical experience. While it's less traditional, it's definitely a beautiful and memorable way to enjoy the desert. We recommend The Martian Bubble Camp, but there are other bubble camps available that might suit your needs as well.
Activities in the dessert!
Wadi Rum offers a variety of activities that let you fully immerse yourself in the desert’s beauty and tranquility. You can take a jeep safari to explore the stunning rock formations, sand dunes, and valleys, or enjoy a camel ride for a more traditional desert experience. For the adventurous, rock climbing and hiking are popular, with breathtaking views at every turn. You can also try sandboarding down the dunes or stargazing at night, as Wadi Rum is known for its clear, star-filled skies.
Most of the places you stay at will organize these activities, making it easy to plan your adventures. Whether you’re seeking adventure or just a peaceful desert escape, there’s something for everyone in Wadi Rum.
