Where to stay?

The cabins

This part of the country is more recommended as a day trip from Amman. It is at it's nicest in spring. There are a few accomodation options if you have left over time and you want to spend it here. Ajloun, in northern Jordan, offers cozy cabins nestled in lush forests, perfect for nature lovers. Located in the Ajloun Forest Reserve, these cabins provide a peaceful retreat with beautiful views, walking trails, and traditional meals. It’s a great spot for hiking and connecting with nature, just a short escape from the city.

Jerash

Jerash is one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the world, located in northern Jordan. Known for its stunning ruins, visitors can explore grand structures like the Oval Plaza, Hadrian’s Arch, the Temple of Artemis, and the Roman Theater. The site features well-preserved streets, colonnades, and intricate carvings. Jerash also hosts cultural events and festivals, adding to its charm and making it a vibrant destination for history enthusiasts and travelers alike.

Um Qais

Um Qais, located in northern Jordan, offers stunning views of the Golan Heights and the Sea of Galilee. Known for its ancient ruins, it was once a Greek and Roman city called Gadara. Visitors can explore the Roman theater, churches, and colonnaded streets while enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The site is also home to well-preserved Byzantine ruins and offers a glimpse into the daily life of ancient civilizations.
