Currency
In Jordan, the local currency is the Jordanian Dinar (JOD). We recommend bringing some cash with you to exchange once you’re in the city, as exchange rates are usually better than at the airport.
Most places accept Visa cards, so you won’t need to carry too much cash. If you prefer to withdraw money, ATMs are widely available. We suggest using Kuwait Bank ATMs as they don’t charge commission.
Note: When you pay with the card, always choose to pay with LOCAL currency, not your own. The change is going to be better!
